Ilias El Bouazaoui - Head Coach
With a lifelong passion for combat sports , Ilias brings a wealth of experience and expertise to 161 Boxing Club as its Head Coach. Having dedicated almost 2 decades to boxing, Ilias has honed his skills in various striking disciplines and trained along side former world champions.

Ilias has achieved two national titles, showcasing a commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of the sport.
In addition to competing, he has trained provincial champions, demonstrating a strong ability to mentor and develop talent at all levels.

Ilias is excited to share his knowledge and passion for boxing, helping athletes of all levels reach their full potential while building a supportive and strong community.

Michael Cabato - Advanced
A decorated athlete and professional, Michael brings unparalleled experience to the 161 Boxing Club team. A Canadian National Champion, 6x Ontario Provincial Champion, and undefeated professional fighter (5-0), Michael combines his competitive success with the discipline and leadership gained as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.
His commitment to excellence inspires athletes of all levels to achieve their peak performance in and out of the ring.

Daniel Roach - Advanced
A professional boxer with 13 years of experience, Coach Daniel is passionate about sharing his love for the sport and teaching people how to fight with skill and confidence.
Known for his dynamic approach and deep understanding of the craft, he is dedicated to helping individuals build strength, technique, and resilience both inside and outside the ring.

Michael Mazzei - Technical
Michael Mazzei is a current competing boxer who has over 7 years of experience in the ring along with almost 5 years of coaching in technical, and fitness style boxing classes.
Michael brings a unique element of both a fighters mentality and a coaches mindset to his classes and pt sessions that make him a great asset to the 161 family.

Victoria Friedberg - Technical
With five years of experience in strength conditioning and three years in boxing, Victoria brings a ton of knowledge to every class.
A small but powerful force - her goal is simple: to create an environment that challenges you to push your limits, whether you're lifting weights or honing your boxing skills on the bag.

Kris Cruz - Technical
Kris brings over seven years of boxing experience, complemented by a background in Muay Thai.
Passionate about making boxing accessible to everyone, he is dedicated to redefining the sport as not just aggressive and dangerous but also fun, safe, and empowering.
Specializing in building strong fundamentals, Kris is here to guide you through every step of your boxing journey and help you unlock your potential.

Maddie Crichton - Fitness
Growing up with a love for sports, Maddie spent most of her youth in gymnastics, developing essential skills and a strong foundation that have greatly influenced her training style today. With a passion for both running and strength training, she has cultivated a holistic approach to fitness that emphasizes balance, endurance, and strength.
Maddie is a 3-time finisher of the Chicago Marathon and has completed two ultra relays: from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and another across France.
Whether you’re preparing for a race or looking to improve your overall fitness, Maddie is excited to share her knowledge and help you reach your own personal goals.

Erica Rosalin - Fitness
Erica is a ISSA certified personal trainer with a passion for fitness and nutrition. While competing in contact sports, she specializes in building athletic performance through strength and conditioning.
Whether you’re a beginner in the gym or an experienced athlete, she brings a level of knowledge that will aid you in eating smarter, growing stronger and building that winning mentality. Her aim is to inspire you to find your inner athlete while reaching your fitness and nutrition goals.
